Sky and Jazz are a mother-and-daughter pair who came into rescue together when their previous owner needed end-of-life care. Sky is 14 and spayed, Jazz is 9 and, while not spayed, hasn’t had a season in six years. Pat and Peter, along with their own WiN Westie Charlie, kindly transported the girls from Doncaster to their foster home near York with Pauline and her son.
Update from Pauline
The girls settled in quickly and now have a steady routine: they sleep through the night in their crate without issue, and we’ve built up to leaving them for up to two hours during the day. They’re harness-trained and walk nicely on the lead, and go to the patio door when they want the garden. At mealtimes we separate them slightly and they tuck into their kibble well, with salmon and sweet potato sticks as a favourite treat.
They’ve since been out for full days together too, travelling calmly on the back seat, sitting nicely under restaurant tables, and greeting other dogs without any fuss. Sky and Jazz were adopted together.
