Sky and Jazz-Adopted

Welcome to these 2 Westie girls, who came into rescue because their previous owner needed end-of-life care.

They are mother and daughter, Sky is 14 years young, spayed, Jazz, her daughter, is 9 years old, not spayed but has not had a season for 6 years.

Thanks to Pat and Peter, and their WiN Westie Charlie, who kindly transported the girls from their previous home in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, to their foster home with Pauline and her son, near York, North Yorkshire

Update from Pauline 1st January 2026

The girls have settled in really well, and we have established a routine with them. They settle into their crate and sleep through the night without problems. We leave them in the crate for up to 2 hours during the day when we have to go out. They are now harness-trained and walking nicely on their leads. At mealtimes, we separate them slightly, and they eat the kibble well. Treats of Salmon and Sweet Potato sticks are well received, and they sit nicely with these. They go to the patio door when they want to go out into the garden.

update 2nd January 2026 from foster Pauline

We have had the girls out for the day. They travelled lovely on the back seat of the car with harnesses attached to over the headrest safety belt. They were great in Starbucks and in the restaurant under the table with no problems.

Walked nicely around the local shops, and great when meeting other dogs

We love each other
Tastes good

Okay, we will allow you to take our picture

This chair is the right size for us

What are we going to do next?
